Maybe a fix for water in your pollen filters?

Question, if you seal them, how hard will it be to remove the seal when you need to change them? Sorry for this question since my English is not perfect and I am not sure how do describe the product I have in mind but could we use the same product for bathrooms or external joints? Something like this LePage / LePage® Sealants / LePage® Ultra Seal Kitchen & Bath Silicone Sealant ?

After reading a lot it seems that my wet carpet are maybe due to this Pollen Filter and/or a blocked A/C evaporator drain and not O-Ring. Since the liquid was indeed water (I tasted it) and I discovered it after wash my car with pressurized water (Karcher). And I remember that I checked the Pollen Filter not a long time ago, maybe I did something wrong when put them back again.

I used gutter sealant, it does not set so hard. Also the caps will unscrew as normal and clean up. The plastic deflectors simply slide out once the caps are uncrewed.

Quick update.
15-16 months have past since the concept of the fix, all still dry inside. Not had a drop in there. Having said that now I bet it is going to start leaking. If it does I will implement a better, more permanent, version of the same fix.

Cheers

....mentioned in first post after pick up Druim.........not so much water leaking in...but water not getting OUT correctly....are we clear..........sure!!??

;)

Clear? , the water not coming in cant get out, makes sense

Still dry, even after all the rain.

However my spare wheel well had about 2 gallons of rain water in it...... better get a new seal. I know the sun roof drains are cleared, I did it in the summer.

Ok, so we dismantled the pollen filter container to find drain clear, however on the upper edge of seal going around aperture it was wet, so will seal with silicone.

Also where do you get the open weave light foam under the scuttle to stop leaves entering?

I will use some plastic sheltering stuff brought from a garden center, very robust, not fitted yet. (for previous car I got the original one but find it too weak)

Not the easiest filter to change, sure you will agree when stopped swearing:)
