Not sure if adrian flux are taking up new customers under 25? Still worth asking.

I've been with them about 3 years now and at £500 a year fully comp 10k miles.
No one else would insure me on my modified 90 until I am 25 or over.

I am 25 in July :D

hi there, can i just say,i would kill to drive a v8 discovery for just a week, but im going to swap my motors round next year, from a series 3 88 inch,to a 1995 300tdi landrover discovery, and aviva want about 1300 quid so,to be able to insure a v8 disco at the age of 19,in,no offence, london,is id say pretty dam good!!

try Admiral, thts who im with and there pretty cheap for all kinds of motors

thats who i was with before i left the UK they was the cheapest and i used to change cars a lot and it was very easy with them.

I used to add my mrs to the policy most of the time as it lowered the price a fair bit...even though she only had a provisional licence

I have the dreaded insurance shop to do tomorrow, not sue til next month but had my renewal from adrian flux n they wanna save me 3.40 from last year the cheeky buggers!! I paid 850 for a slightly modded disco at 23 with 1 years ncb and 6 expired points (still have to declare them 5 years on)
So this year with 2 years ncb I was haoping to be looking at the 700 mark not the 845 mark!!!

just renewed my v8 insurance with adrian flux im 24 details as follows
all modifactions, 9 thousand miles a year, business use, 500 quid excess (paid an extra 34 quid so i get the excess back if theres an accident), put me mom on the policy, fully comp an its cost 934 quid for the year which was 400 quid chepaer than last year. i also told them i was a member of landy zone witch dropped the price (so the bloke said!!!!!)

Firstly sorry to hear the bad news, I had a similar problem my first car was a 1976 lightweight which cost me £800 when I was 17 when I came to renew it, the price when up to £1500 even with a years no claims but had no choice as needed a 4x4 for work, now I'm 19 I pay £1100 on my 300tdi disco with one years no claims as I canceled the insurance half way through my second year of driving preventing a second year of no claims ! Hope you find a better quote.

im really upset that im not gonna be able to insure it :( but by no means does that mean its getting sold! Will be putting it on the drive and giving it some TLC and nice little mods to ;) sort of a plus side to having it off road is time to do all the jobs on it, got a stash of parts for it anyways waiting to go on! insurance isnt due for 2months so things may change but i doubt it

When I first tried to insure my 90 was gettin crazy prices of 2k-5k and I'm 24 I use to have a Subaru 1000£ fully comp had a 2.0 bmw 800£ fully comp but yet they wanted all that money for a old 90 so I was just about to give up but a tried admiral online fully comp and got it for 488£

Will give them a try tomorrow, its mad from tesco £11k quote for LR and they only wanted £1k for me on a Skoda fabia VRS 1.4 t with 185bhp :s

insurance is just daft.im 22 4yrs ncb insured my landy about 3 months ago and couldnt get it for less than £1000.just thought id just have a look about after bein on this thread.exactly the same details as before.£700 now

If you get a half decent quote from Admiral then go to Diamond online then Bell online. They're all the same company but will bid against each other. Look out for the "what's the best quote you've had so far" question.
You might have 'issues' with your mods with them.

Have you tried N.F.U.?

Just be careful. If you find a great deal from a company that you've never heard of, check the company out. A bloke has just been jailed for running a website that offered insurance for new, young or 'iffy' drivers. They were so grateful to get insured that they didn't check anything. It only came to light when one driver was pulled by a police traffic car with NPR that pinged his car as being un-insured. It's reckoned that he pocketed half a million before he was nicked.

Yes I saw a bit about that on the telly a while back always best to check a firm out first .

I'm 17 and I'm insured on a defender 90, £1700 through aviva. I did it through van insurance not car insurance which dropped it by about £7000! :p
Have a look!
