Yes I'm definately tempted to get one now,they look good too.I fitted my snorkel due to the location of the air intake on the wing. I noticed that everytime I went through flood water, muppets in cars would try flooring it through at the same time that I was driving through nice and carefully. I was worried about sucking in their water cos they seemed to have the floor it and pray mentality. No need to worry now. If they floor it at me I just see it as fair game to repay the compliment.
Yes I was thinking the same but is there any point in doing so while there is so much water about? Could a week or ten days more make any diffrence or should I just extend them after I'v changed the oil. That should be a quick job to do right?

The oil change in the diffs I'v done several times its extending the breathers that I'v never done. Thanks for the tip on how to know if water has got into the diff. Oil floats on water but I'd never thought how knowing that could help meIf its the odd splash in water you should be fine. Although remember, if you've got any oil leaking out anywhere, even a little dribble, remember water can get in as well then.
It'll be fine leaving it for a few weeks. What you can do, if its been left standing for a little while (overnight) oil floats on water, so you can undo the drain plug very slightly and catch what comes out in a plastic bowl or something, if theres any sign of water, which would show up as a sort of white emulsion mixed with the oil, oil with streaks in it, then definately change them. Or after a drive, open the filler plug and a small amount should dribble out, catch this in a container and take a look at it. If you see streaks of water in the oil, or its a murky emulsion, type thing, change it.
For changning the oils its really simple, undo the filler plug (always do this first, as its best not to drain them, and then realise you cant get the filler plug out :doh
Then undo the drain plug on the bottom of the diff and let the oil drain out, and go make a cup of tea, then do the same on the other axle, and drink the cup of tea
Then replace drain plugs, and fill them up with oil until it dribbles out the filler hole. Replace filler plugs, tighten them up.

I wish, it's only stoped when I sleep at the moment. So how long should it take to extened the axel breathers, couple of hours?
OK thanks mate looks like my Sunday is booked up then I just hope it will be dry .the oil should be fine, don't forget to extend the breather on them, prevention is better than cure
