Marking Parts.

Ok, so everyone knows about window etching, but what about other parts?

I've taken to punching the reg No into parts I'm fitting, anything that will be able to identify parts or my motor is good IMO.

Earlier in the year the police near me were marking doors, bonnets etc with an etching marker pen and some sort of laquer, does anyone know what this was/where to get it to do other parts with it. (got my doors etc done at the time)

also, anyone know of something to do a stainless exhaust with? I'm thinking one of the acid etch kits like those used to windows

Sounds like a UV marker pen, they do some kits for anti-burglary stuff.

no, its not a UV pen, its clearly visable all the time, ill take a pic tomorrow, it looks just like a sharpie marker or similar, but they said the only way to remove it is to physically remove the paint as well, so sounds like it etches in.

Lines of weld with the first part of your postcode on or initials on things like bumpers, winch plates, rocksliders, chassis etc ..
