Mark L's D1 300tdi restoration/build thread

I feel my previous D1 which gave its life and donated quite a few bits needs its very slow demise mentioning at this point.
This literally took the best part of a year for me to gradually strip it and cut it up.

I started a new job on Monday at a secondary school for boys (44 of them) with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) and if I had a quid for everytime I'd heard f*ck off/f*ck you I could retire in style!!
