have just purchased a p38 1998 petrol and got it back on the road. When I got her she had been taken off the EAS system and a bi pass, manual air lines installed . I want to get it back on the EAS but in the mean time Im trying to work out the tank / air line system as she keeps dropping in the ass over night and when I pump her up the front goes up first then the back , the air lines run 4 hoses into 2 connectors so maybe there is a problem with this system , I think I will make them all singular and figure which hose is for which bag .

Thoughts ?

Hi Matt,
At this link you will find a Dropbox folder with RAVE and some other info about various p38 stuff.
If you are planning to keep the car, it's well worth investing in nanocom. Worth its weight in gold.
There is also a link from wammers about eas in the technical archive which you should read and follow for testing.
EAS can be a pain to get working properly but well worth the effort.

Thank you !

If I understand you correctly Matt your bags are currently connected by a T piece- front/ front and rear/ rear?
That's a bad thing as far as handling, particularly in roll, is concerned and at least you should separate them into individual valves.
Reason- picture the car cornering, weight transfer to outside bag will compress that bag (which is fine so far, that's what it should do) but, in your current setup, compressing that bag will force air into the inner bag on the already unweighted side, extending it and further lifting that corner. Result- exaggerated body roll.

You need to read this post from the Technical Archive: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/checking-eas-compressor-and-diaphragm-valve.172555/

And possibly this: http://paulp38a.com/range-rover-p38/how-eas-works/

I think Mozz has already offered you the EAS lead and software. Bite his arm off, although you'd better pay the postage to Oz.
