Went to the Landy auto jumble today, Waste of time , nothing there except a 15" rim, a rear light cluster, a passenger airbag and a window from a rear hard top roof that the guy wanted £40 for. Had to laugh, at that price I'd expect the whole hard top.
Usual story from the Defender/Disco/Series crowd. Was ignored waiting to turn right into the show, but had to wait for 17 of them, yes 17,to turn in infront of me. All with the expression of "I can't see you trying to turn in" on their faces. Not one willing to flash me in, and a nice tailback behind me.
Anyway, got a few pics of a D-Lander on my phone, sorry about the quality, buy couldn't get the angles I was looking for.

shame there wasn't much on offer for freelanders.
I would have liked to have gone to this just to look around, but didn't even know it was on.
where is the best place to find out about these events?
nice pick btw, was it for sale?

LRO Magazine usually has any Land Rover event in it's "events" pages each month. Old Sodbury Sortout is the one to go to, it's MASSIVE.
Sadly the D-Lander was not for sale. Good job really, I'd probably have ended up buying it.:D

In the past I have emailed the magazines to say why do them not feature Freelanders and not one has replied, it is ever likely that the other Landrover drivers do not want to know us but I always give the landrover wave and sometimes I get a wave back if fact there are a couple who wave at me first ,but then there are the new range rover and the like that would not know what it is all about

It's because they're jealous of our Freelanders. They take the **** out of the plastic bits only watch theirs rust heaps evaporate.

your write up made me laugh today hippo as I was following a series along a road and there are some sleeping policemen along it and some are very ruff, I think the police man must have his truncheon out on some of them and as this series went over one a piece on rusted metal fell off.LOL

Sounds like a leafer. They're some of the worst. They don't like anything with spring suspension. Even modern tratters with springs. I know I'm pushing the boundary of the English language by using the tern "modern" to describe a tratter, but in comparison to horse and cart suspension, a spring suspension tratter is considered modern.
