Disco 1 Making brake pipes, what supplies do I need?

I have been servicing my brakes, and need to replace a brake pipe. I'd like to bite the bullet, and make my own. But, I'm unsure what I need for a D1 (300tdi ABS).

Do I need metric or SAE? What fittings should I buy? Copper or Cunife? Any recommendations on where to buy?

Brake Flaring Tool

Trying to get the old rot-box back in the road and I’m going to need to replace a few of the brake lines (front half I replaced with cupro-nickel a few years ago). Have you got any recommendations for an effective flaring tool which won’t brake (ba dum tss) the bank? I’m thinking along the lines...

Some progress, I now have some:

- 3/16 Cupro Nickel Tubing
- AB hand held SAE flare tool
- Brake Pipe Unions - Metric Male

So hopefully good to go, however most of my old pipe clips are breaking when removing the old pipe. I'm currently needing ones for the bulkhead, and inner wings. Are these available?
