Hi there I was wondering if anyone could help me find a way of making my clutch lighter , I have looked at power springs and apparently they're only for defenders ?

OP:- Welcome Aboard :)

@Henry_b is correct :) - I even wrote it up on 'ere anorl:-

Strictly speaking, it wasn't for me * - it was for SWMBO ......as she has a D1 too ;) It's still working as intended.

* well, it stopped her moaning about how heavy her clutch was  :D .... so I guess it might have been for me after all o_O .... :D

Though, TBH, the days of the R380 in hers are seriously numbered ... a ZF4HP24 is getting closer and closerer ;)

I always liked autos in 4x4's not much else though like others manual ;)

My Recently acquired 3.9 Manual RRC is a hoot to drive goes like **** off a shovel but the clutch pedal is heavy as satans left tit and the box jumps out of 2nd when you hammer it to redline ;)

Great fun.

3mpg isn't though :) ;)

Thanks I'll look into it as I currently have to use all my weight to press the clutch (get some weird looks sometimes )

If your clutch is that stiff - and by that I mean stiff as opposed to heavy - then it may be that the clutch fork is about to go - you can guess how I know this  ...

Do you know anyone else with a D1 you can do a comparison with ?

Make sure you're recovery cover is up to date !! ;) - you can guess how I know that too  :D
