I have a series 3 Landy, but i have a feeling my gearbox innards are series 2 (as i can't see any synchro for 1st/2nd).
Regardless, the front bearing was well shot, which i think was the cause of the rattle i had when i ran the gearbox, so I have replaced both front bearings.
It seems sensible to replace the rear bearing too, but that is where i am having issues.
i have removed the mainshaft from the housing, and the bearing came with the shaft.
I cannot get the bearing off.
I have removed one big circlip from the assembly, so there is no circlip on the outer side of the bearing (but there is a circlip on the inside side of the bearing, that is not easy to remove).
Am i right in thinking i need to apply (more) heat and hit it (more). My bearing pullers are about 10mm too short to use.
Or have I missed something?
