Hi Members.
I have managed to do a swap with a member of the R75 club, for which my part of the bargain I have received a Mafam & a Pierburg sensor.

I am looking for information as to which box this is an early type or recent type, also as any member got one of these fitted and if so what is the best number to use from 1 to 10 any and all suggestions appreciated.

I don't know the answer, but I'm sure there are threads on this from long ago. Try the useful search facility

Cheers tried that before I posted, no reference to the mafam in the photo only synergy 1 -2 etc the main reason I am asking also is that my M47 R75 had the 160 upgrade, and a lot of the R75 gang done away with the synergy to have the 160 upgrade.

I have asked the T4 gurus on the R75 club can a FL1 have the 160 and was given the answer that the RDA may not be compatible ? as I am new to the FL 1 I am fishing for anyone that as used the Mafam in the pic and if so what is their opinion on it etc, Arctic2

I have still got no further with this Mafam & Pierburg sensor therefore I am going to put it up for sale I think and try an engine upgrade once I find a good place to do it.

As I said earlier in my post I swapped this for some R75 rear tourer lights so it owes me £50

Now in the for sale section

What is this 160 upgrade you are talking about and what is an RDA?

Hi Mike
Sorry that should read IRD and I think the T4 guru told me the VCU may not take it ? still yet to find out, the 160 upgrade is what most R75 M47 diesel engine owners have upgrading the engine from either the 116 or the 131 to a 160bhp remap.

There are three great guys whom do this for the R75 owners in our club which I am still a member as I own a MGZT V6 190 Se, we have five local meets per year at a public house these are weekend meets and they loan us a field camping is free also, we all work on each others cars for free T4 sessions are free, but the remaps are not allowed at the meet therefore have to be paid for through the guys in the club.

used one of the MAFams shown on my Rover 45 - plug it in, and just turn the dial. In your case, to the pierberg setting :)

Literally, as easy as it sounds, lol
