maf

hi all i no this has been done to death but i cant seem to find the answers to a couple of questions in the 10 million threads that cover this subject so im hopeing you lot may be able to help ???
how long is it safe to drive my car with the maf unplugged to see if my intermittent power loss prob reappears.
can i tow a caravan whith it unpluged.
how much does a maf cost and where is the best place to get one for my 51 plate td4
is it expensive to have error codes checked and cleared can most none lr garages do it .
iv checked all the hoses i can do you have to remove bottom engine cover to check turbo hoses.

talk to roveron he seems to be the authority on these things and doesn't try to sell you his stuff too hard, and anyway it works.

ye i was looking at the site just now i think i will give them a call if it turns out to be the maf im going to take the car for a 100 mile run down the motorway on sunday to work with the maf unpluged to see if i loose power , thats unless this is a bad idea ?????????
