Hello all,
Bought the D2 4 weeks ago. Got the 2 M&S lights 2 weeks ago. Intermittent at first, then on all the time. Replaced battery (was not the correct Ah anyway), cleaned the ECU red plug contacts that had tiny amount of oil in, replaced the injector loom today. Test drive and lights have gone, however, not counting chickens just yet. Planning on cleaning the red plug a few more times over the next few weeks.
1. How long should I expect to wait before I can call it a fix?
2. If they come back should I try the XY switch?
3. Would people recommend trying to overhaul the XY switch myself?
4. Is there any way to tell if the injector loom was old or new? The O ring seemed pretty good, which makes me wonder if this was the problem in the first place.
