Given that, I highly recommend a Linux version - free and it is Unix - so what's not to like

With modern computers, the need for an OS that runs light isn't really needed.. unless you're doing it just because you can (which is surprisingly popular)Given that, I highly recommend a Linux version - free and it is Unix - so what's not to like

I ran Ubuntu on a 10 year old desktop with no issues at all

I much prefer a light DE, and use the terminal a lot, despite some serious health issues which makes typing something of a pain ( literally ).....This laptop is a i7, with 16Gb of RAM, and over 2Tb of SSD - so, it'd even run windross
- but there ain't no way in hell that'll ever happen
