Hi all. I haven't been on here in a while. Hope you are all well. I am about to change the oil in my gearbox and diffs on my 1972 classic and I was just wondering what the safest oil to use is. I am aware that later oils don't agree with the various brass components of these units and want to be sure that I don't cause any synchro problems etc...etc....Anyone recommend a grade/type/manufacturer of an appropriate option?

Thanks all.

there might be if you were to use gl5 ep oil in the gearbox but it takes engine oil so you dont have that risk ,likewise diffs dont have yellow metal parts so gl5 ep is ok
