LT77 into a Stage 1 V8

LT77 should be a straight swap, but will give you problems as it can't handle the torque from a V8.

I thought on the disco both the 200tdi and the V8 both used the LT77 box, As far as I know they used the same box for both engines.

I thought it was the Santana LT85 box, and the R380 was the universal replacement for both the 77 and 85. The Gruntster is the man to ask though

according to what I've been reading it was the LT77 or LT77S though I don't know what difference the S made. I will have a dig thru my microcat and see what it comes up with.

yep definately LT77's but I think the bell housing on the V8 is shorter by the look of it.
