Cracked on with the rebuild today, it's practically done, just need to press on the oil seal collar and paint the case....
Assembled the oil pump with the new gasket, fitted the new o-ring, vaselined up the recess it fits into, pressed in the pump, fitted the new screws with some RTV to seal them:
Pressed in the new rear support bearings:
Fit the reverse sensor with new washer:
Pressed in the oil feed ring:
Built up reverse, 5th gears, selector, fitted new snap ring to hold reverse/5th hub in place, fitted collets, tightened and stake layshaft nut:
Pressed on bearing tracks:
New oil filter in:
Mainshaft oil seal packed with grease to stop the spring falling out:
And fitted:
Oil pickup fitted:
RTV'd around the sandwich plate, aligned the pump drive to the pump, and dropped the extension case over, went on first time with no messing (surprised by that!). Promptly forgot to take a photo I was that chuffed!
Locktighted the detent bung and torqued it up:
Turret rebuild with new bias plate and fitted - will need to adjust the bias a bit:
As said above, just needs the oil collar on and a lick of paint:
Job FINALLY jobbed!!!
