LT230 intermediate shaft bearing pre-load question

I'll have a look. It's not essential (as I mentioned before) but for the sake of a connector or a couple of lucar spade terminals crimped on and a bulb fitted at the other end, it's worth it IMHO.
 
im not sure what your truck is but this is an example for td5 t.box light is 3rd from right bottom row

Defender TD5 2002 County Station Wagon (original factory station wagon...) It's a bit posh as it's got electric windows and air con.
