No one.. certain valued members of the forum attend to updatin the map of members that are in a position to offer support, help and advice should any member be stuck/broken down etc... it goes under the helpin peeps out offerin honest willing support without expectin anythin apart from gratitude policy on here. :D

I take no credit for LZ International Rescue as it was not my idea, all I did was start a google map with place markers and radius.

Currently Blue beasty,barmatt and myself add people to it and Ratty and MHM have the contact numbers for people.
 
Took me a while to get my head round the idea that on LZ people are genuinely happy to help you out when you get in trouble and only expectation is a thank you ( although cake does seem to be accepted as payment too :D )

I went out to help someone who was panicking over a swivel hub he's been playing with a 40 mile round trip.
When I got there and looked at it and said it was okay but needed the swivel hub seals doing ASAP.

I expected nothing more than a cup of tea-I was offered dinner of my choice after they had all eaten. Which I politely declined and a rather nice bottle of cider or beer was given after I had a brief cup of tea and a chat.
 
Just do a search for international rescueon the forum and you will see how far reaching this "organisation" for want of a better word is.

I've been out with members of our hertfordshire lot and travelled 100 mile round trip to help soomeone out of a tight spot. But I have to say that the other side is true too. When I got stuck in a hole and knew nothing about naything it was members from here that came out to get me out of the mire... and that was BEFORE they realised I was stunningly good looking and had wit, charm and personality!

Loads of good people on here - They are not ageist, rascist, or biased in any way.... they treats everyoing like idiots....

Except Fur Trapper and he's a whole different story

Maybe we should invite our journalist friend to come down on the Chip Run later in the year?

We can show him some of the formerly 'hidden' Dorset lanes which were made public by the LRO/LRM/etc greenlane guides which have since been either closed or trashed when 4x4s from across the country descended on them en masse with no consideration of ground/weather conditions.

I know it's a problem across the country (not just in Dorset) where the cowboy element travel, trash and bugger off but doesn't it seem a bit strange that shortly after they become published in a national magazine that their usage increases dramatically and the 'Special Track holes' get deeper.....

And before anyone else says it: Yes, the Chip Run will entail a large amount of 4x4 traffic along the lanes in one day but it will be in smaller groups - a 'wet' and a 'dry' route will be planned so no potentially soggy lanes get damaged.

I stopped subscribing to LZ mags cos they seem to have a thing about plugging cheap tat parts in yellow boxes and publicising lanes that as you say then get torn up by idiots that can't read a map to find any lanes for themselves. As far as I'm concerned if I can't traverse a lane without my wheels spinning, I shouldn't be on it in the first place.

I have no objections to him tagging along so long as the lanes aren't published and turned into a free for all.
