well winters here again and my local lpg station pipes did,nt survive the first frost again. so i had to go and fill up at another one that is,nt self service told the bloke fill it up. he squezzed 63 litres into twin 35 under slungs, drove to the shop. just climbing out when the release valve went pop and it ****'d one tank of gas into the atmosphere other tanks fine the system still works will get under it tomorrow to see if its seals have blown or was it just the safety valve kicking off. (the old girl looked like a steam loco when it went off. but sorry guys was'nt sticking around to grab my phone to video it. when my youngest was in the passenger seat. strange thou the wife manage'd to get the rangies door open in milli seconds instead of waiting for me to go round and let her out)

thanks thor normally i only stick about 56/57 litres in but the new owner of the petrol station won't let anybody self fill. hopefully my local lpg guy gets new pipes in for his place instead of taking six months like last time

Here we have safety valves on our LPG tanks. law says only 80% capacity at 60F . Safety valve is able to be reset like on a air compressor

There should be a level valve IIRC that prevents overfilling , did you fit tanks yourself , as they have to be mounted correctly for the fill valve to work .

As said above vehicle LPG tanks have a level valve that shut's off when the tank is full (80%). It's just the same valve set-up as in your toilet cistern, was the vehicle level when fuelling, who fitted the tanks?

normally yes they have been shutting off at 56/57 litre mark just this time they decided to goto 63 litre mark, but like you,ve said shut off should have kicked in both tanks are sitting level all wiring intacked. blow off valve reset, filled it back up at black cat today shut off valve stopped at 50 litres still had some gas in.
