I am contemplating an LPG conversion to my 2002 P38 4.6 v8 Rangie

Are there any recommendations for the type and/ or make I should consider and any installers in the West Midlands / Shropshire region

You could try Hilton Auto gas between J1 of the M54 and J11 of the M6, haven't had a conversion doen there myself, but use them for fuel when visiting my folks.
 
You are going to have to do a lot of miles to make it pay. Proper install for a multipoint sequential system is likely to cost up to 2K. A lot to spend on a 10 year old car unless you plan to keep it for a good long while.
