I had my 2005 TD6 lowered by 50mm when i replaced the 18 inch alloys with 20 inch alloys a few weeks ago...i found it improved the ride quality, and makes the car stance look better,, at the same time i had it remapped and WOW!!! would reccomend the remapping to everyone, it has a load more power and torque....took it down to birmingham and south wales last week and it returned 28mpg ( checked and calibrated through fuel refills and not the computer ).

cheers people, Bob.lydon who/where did you have yours lowered? and was it done with a lowering kit, or changing the values in the ecu?

And where did you get the remapping done?

I had a local ( tyne and wear ) guy adjust the values in the ECM using a T4 testbook, although i have a Launch X431 which can do it i left it to the proffesionals as he was also carrying out a remap of the ECM at the same time (TD6).

Just wondered if there is any mechanical/physical reasons why you couldnt lower an L322? I know most on here disagree with it, and everyones entitled to an opinion but i was wondering if theres any stress put on any part of the vehicle by lowering it?

Also, the 2 options i've seen are having it reprogrammed, or the lowering links kit, what option looks best, or is least likely to give me problems?

one question i have is why would you want to lower it?
