Lower tail gate for 97 P38

Hi guys

I have been searching and searching for a decent lower tailgate preferably in Oxford Blue for my p38 as mine has corroded quite badly along the bottom .

All the ones I found on Ebay are either no better condition to mine or are collect only and miles away .

Does anyone know of a good breakers who might have such a thing and are prepared to delivery / send by courier ?

I've renewed my lower tailgate just this week. Got a top and bottom tailgate from Emmots. I didn't see the point of doing all the work of putting one on and not getting it spot on so had it painted . That cost me £172.00 but the tailend looks brand new.
I took Datateks advice and sprayed the interior of the new one liberally with oil ( and waxoil)
I haven't scrapped the old one yet which sounds as if it's identical to your own. The bottom flange had gone completely and the paintwork for about an inch above it was breaking up.
You can have my old tailgate if you like for the cost of the postage : at least you would have something to consider working on .
When and if you get round to fitting it PM me : I did the refit on my own in half a day. It probably took me longer getting the rear load area panel off to get at the loom.
