landyfox.... Certainly one possibility is that the injectors are unable to flow sufficient fuel under load.... Will check the lift pump as that can be done myself... Then unless I have a blaze of inspiration I'll be putting it into my local independent landy garage to get them to check and rectify the injectors and pump if needed (will be going in there anyway for a routine cambelt change).... Would just like to exhaust the stuff I can do myself before I start paying their labour rates!! :)
I would check with your LE Indy if they do injectors and FIPS. It's a specialist job, so they may well send them off somewhere else and charge you for the privilege.
You seem very knowledgeable, do you not fancy doing the cambelt change yourself?

I’m sure you would be able to do the cam belt change yourself, there’s lots of help and videos available both on here and YouTube. Is there any sign of diesel around the injectors? It’s quite possible that it requires new injector seals which is easily doable. You are doing it the right way, process of elimination with the least expensive first.

Also, have you set the valve timings as that too can effect the power, especially uphill. Keep going, you’re definitely getting closer
 
Thanks for the replies... Part of not doing the cambelt is time (or at least priorities!).... I race the car in my profile pic and that need some mods over winter... My tow van and trailer need their winter fettle and service.... I'm part way into restoring a Morgan and I promised my wife I'd rebuild her Triumph 500..... Something has to give and a Landy cambelt change is the least enticing of those. :)

Doing well to be racing your single seater at 67 years of age, I'll be lucky to race a shop mobility scooter at that age!!!

Hanging in there.... Tho having a bit of trouble with the latest crop of twenty-somethings in their carbon rockets :)
Put the gauge in place of the bleed on the diesel filter and reads 5psi on idle dropping to 3.5 when revving.... In the absence of readings from a known good pump all I'll say is, 3.5psi is the pressure it takes to shift enough fuel to run a carbed petrol engine so doesn't look out of order when all it's got to do is deliver to the inlet of the fip... Injectors out and off down to the local diesel specialist for a clean and adjust next I reckon.

Had injectors cleaned and checked by a local (only 90 mile round trip!) injector specialist.... Idles smoother and have no doubt stored up some brownie points in Landy Heaven as regards future reliability and mileage.... But has had no impact on my problem.
Off to New Zealand for a month in a week's time..... Intend to shelve the issue and take it for its cam belt change (and check of pump timing) when I get back.

Many Thanks for the input so far.... Still open to suggestions tho may be quiet for a few weeks.

I have my injection pump and injectors in for a refurbishment at the moment for loss of power under load
All four injectors needed new tips and recalibrated and the injection pump needs a valve that’s badly worn,
This is On a 200tdi with a genuine 89K as I have had her from new, so would definitely have a look at the injection pump,
Remember the Injection pump has its own lift pump built in so you can run a direct feed to it so bi passing the rest of the fuel system, thereby eliminating any fuel delivery problems that you may have anywhere else
 
Always disappointed to be following a thread and it fizzles out without a conclusion so.... Got back from NZ and took it in to get the cam belt changed.... Now runs fine again.... Belt was overdue so perhaps both cam and pump timing not as they should have been.... At least all the stuff I did beforehand was constructive and will help with running/reliability going on.... So the efforts weren't wasted.
