Low key battery warning

Used truck today and got 'low key battery ' warning on dash. Is there anything I should know about before buying a battery off fleabay. Does fault code need to be reset after etc

Wait and see if the message comes back, I've had that once or twice in the last 3 years on my P38, still haven't changed the batteries as they were new. I put it down to the exposed buttons getting held in when the FOB is in a pocket. Gets some batteries though just in case.

No real issue then just swap out the batteries and all should be well then ?

Check your hand book , think the is a time limit swapping the batteries so you don't have to re-sync the fob

Not a special battery

Can be picked up from most shops

Just swap over and all should be fine

Ok thanks. Someone said they had to go to a stealer and have a hard reset to clear dash message

Just change them but when you do, do it quickly cos dont know if there is a time limit! Dont think there is but never know
