Hi Guy

Got a 2.0 litre diesel freelander and it develop a problem two weeks ago.
Basically as you press the accelerator pedal down the car react as if it lost power, and if you lift the pedal up an down again then it runs fine, does this in each gear and if you lift off pedal to idle. Same thing happens.
It doesn’t stale and starts fine.
Spoke to three mechanics so far not joy.
Got it put on an analysers but not fault found, changed fuel and air filter.

Any ideas??

Hi Gents

Thought I would update you on my problem with my Freelander.
Last night my brake light stayed on continuesly when you switched the ignition on.
So I spoke to one of my mechanic friends this morning and he advised me to look above the brake pedal and see if the switch had stuck.

I had a look and found the switch had come out of its bracket and was loose, so I put if back in and it sorted the brake light issue out, I also discovered once I started driving the car it also sorted out the issue with the lack of power, not sure how and why but there you go just glad I didn't change the fuel pump, can't imagine how much that would have cost?

Thank you for your help anyway
