Hello you knowledgeable lot.
I have a 2003 discovery 2.
Last weekend it started to judder and there was a severe loss of power, But before I got home the juddering stop and power up to about 2500 revs came back. It travels about town ok but hills an motorways are a struggle. I have checked the red plug and the ecm for oil. None in the ecm a bit in the loom plug.
Anyone with any ideas before getting it pluged in?

Hi, describe better, when you go uphill it goes well up to 2500 rpm then it looses power or kangarooing or how? ...anyway first of all make a drive test with MAF unplugged... also do you have EGR still on?

It goes well on the flat and about town,
motorways and uphill it seems to stuggle the when the injection loom was faulty.
Egr is gone. I unplugged the maf last week when it started and I thought It was worse. I will try and test it tomorrow.
Fuel filter change has been done today.

If these are ruled out it's possible that the fuel pump's HP stage is dead but to check that you need to insert a gauge into the FPR instead of the sensor

Found this in a td5 forum and just asking
wouldn’t it start without the high pressure running?
Is there not a high pressure reading from from the regulator

If you have access to nanocom, then post a few plots... it won’t help with fuel pressure as there is no fuel pressure sensor, but you can see if it’s a boost issue - you might just be hitting overboost at high load.
