Freelander 2 (LR2) Loss of power/ faults

iv been having an ongoing problem with a grinding noise from my front left tyre and slight rumbling, took it to a mechanic who said it was likely just cheap break discs wearing in, today that rumbling turned into a grinding noise, I lost power intermittently whilst in a tunnel and I have now got hdc not available, stability control not available, emergency brake assist not available, what could my problem be, thought I’d reach out to see if something similar had happened to you guys or if you had an insight.

Sounds like a wheel bearing. IIRC the wheel bearing contains the magnets for the HDC/TCS sensors. If this fails you will get HDC and TC probs.

As above. Sounds like a wheel bearing has collapsed, upsetting the ABS system.

Hi, had it checked out today, and was the bearing which I had replaced, is as good as new, thanks a lot guys.
