My cruise control stopped working no light on the switch it lost power & is poor at cold starting now can anyone help ?.

It's a 1998 300 tdi xs disco.

It was a Japanese import county it has an electronic throttle peddle & fuel pump & an ecu .

Lift pump maybe. Either that or air leak in fuel system. If yoyr lift pump hasnt been changed recently or you dont know, just fit a new delphi one anyway.Very easy job.
Makesure all fuel pipes are nipped up and fuel filter is screwed on fully.

Could be your pump timing has altered? Fuse gone somewhere in your ecu setup or something? Sensor come unplugged?

So many things with these edc bastards.

Best advice is to start at the fuel tank and work your way along the fuel system. Unions on fuel tank, sedimenter, fuel filter, fuel pump & timing, lift pump, injectors.

Then try the air system, in the same fashion.

It may also be worth getting a diagnostic check ran, although mine just muddied the waters as apparently everything was faulty.
