Looking to buy Freelander 2....

Hi there,
I'm looking to buy my first ever Land Rover, more specifically a Freelander 2 (second hand) and I would value comments / feedback as to what to look out for. Thinking of getting a Diesel Engine with Manual Gearbox. I would like to know what is the best model to get and what I should be asking for when shopping around.
Although I have test driven a Freelander through AvailableCar.com I am looking to purchase the vehicle from a Land Rover dealer. Any particular dealership to avoid? What should they be providing as part of the purchase package?
