Looking for help with insurance...

Did you tell them you'd be insuring it as your second vehicle ?

Tell them the corsa is your main car and the defender is simply as a winter run about or for use for transporting stuff occasionally

If not try admiral on a multicar as I said before

I'm on a disco which is about group 13 insurance over defender at group 6

£1280 FC with all the cover, again 20, 1yr ncb and 3 points + pass plus

Oh how i've missed this place

. Fwiw i'm 21 w 3/points and 2 claims. I'm with elephant at present and my 19j 110 defender cost me about 900 this year. Will be trying Flux or similar for next year though, to get offroad/modified cover too.

Dont know if this has been mentioned ( tbh got megga bored of the whinning after the third page) do what i did spend some extra money and do advanced driving course and or pass plus proves you are a worthy driver not some 18yr old gimp whos going to smash a newish expensive motor up on his way to maccy d's whilst rancing a grandma in a spaz charriot!!. it brought my insurance down by 1k when i first passed my test from 1408 quid to 408 at the age of 17 fair enough it wasnt a land rover it was a fiesta but i went on to have fiesta super sports astra gsi's cavalier calibres etc ( no not a calibra a calibre) and non cost me over 450 a yr when mates was paying 1800 plus on a 1.2 nova and now ive got a modded clio sport wich is only about 700 quid ish and my disco 2 is 500 fully comp with unlimited mileage ....so get ya finger out and get it done for 200 quid tops u can save lots as ppl such as adrian flux and churchil who normaly only take on 21yrs and above will because of you advanced driving

disco td5 is group 13p ( performance) dunno why

and defenders was group16 when i was looking for one the other month

According to the web, no idea where you got 16 from but all I know is a 90 300tdi van is a 6, CSW is an 8 I think and the V8 is a 10, maybe the seller you looked at listed it wrongly ?

I did check all of this when I was hunting but the 90 is defo a 6

also i was looking for td5 pick up maybe the vans classed as a comercial or somate?? i looked at a few through tauto trader and they was all around that but yeah most prob wires crossed some were !!

Pickups are classed as a commercial vehicle too, thats why my mates dad only buys them for the farm (apart from one supercharged G Class Merc for him)

As to the TD5 that should also have been a 6-10 depending on model according to the web

It's people listing false information on ebay and autotrader that lose them buyers sometimes as for me I definitely couldn't be touching anything above 13 for my budget

Looking for help with insurance...
