looking for advice.

Hi All.
Bought my very first Discovery in January and looking forward to many years hard work,,,( welding and other good stuff)..

Want to do a service and need to know what is the best oil to use...
Should i go fully synthetic??? Want to do a good flush out first get rid of some of the crud...just need to know what is the best oil to use...

my mate has a Ford Transit, he's just changed to fully synthetic, and he's raving about it.
he says there is a noticable difference. if you have a tdi, then it can be more demanding
on the oil as turbos get extremely hot if they are worked hard.

fully synth diesel oil has got more detergents in it,so it will keep your engine nice and clean,internally only though.gotta clean it externally yourself.

a jet wash hey,posh git. make sure you dont get the nozzle stuck in the oil filler hole when you are cleaning the engine internally.

but of course you have to keep it clean.otherwise it will stay dirty.
