Hello,
Looking for help identifying some parts. I believe the amplifier in the ignition system has gone bad, I have not been able to find any info about the 24v electrical system I have. The engine is a petrol 3.5 V8,

. I've trouble shot the system and believe it's the amplifier except I can't find any information on the amplifier or coil. Also there is a third component that ties into the ignition system that I can identify either.
I'm adding photos, if anyone could tell me the name of the items and a part number I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

In my repair manual for 101 forward control the shunt box is listed as CAV 466/3 and the coil as Lucas type 5 C10 as fitted to 3.5 V8...

Shippers, thanks. Just want to clarify, the CAV 466/3 is the first photo in the line up? Sorry, t posted photos of 2 box type items and want to be sure. Troy

My 101 was 24v before I bought it now 12v...but have repair manual that covers both...will scan and post the diagrams tomorrow...if it helps...

Able Enginearing specialise in 101 and a lot were 24v they are who I deal with and will point you in the right direction...Martin is a wealth of knowledge and has helped me out down here in Portugal with parts...he is also involved with a Lancaster Bomber restoration!...

That doesnt look like a ballast resistor...certainly not the one I took of my 101 it was like the one in your link which is for 12v not 24v...mine was rewired from 24v before I bought it but have repair manual with 24v 3.5 V8 diagrams in it will look later...the manual lists a ballast resistor in 12v section but a coil filter in 24v section in the wiring diagrams so assume there is a difference...

In reply to my last post I removed the ballast resistor as I fitted a new electronic dizzy as when it was converted to 12v they used an old dizzy (possibly rover p6)and I had difficulty getting points for it....

Looking at the picture it is definitely a wire wound ceramic resistor with a external aluminium heat shroud possible 25 watt or higher and the cable possible green/yellow
which can be confirmed with a quick clean may be the resistor in diagram for the heater motor ,the filter units I would assume are there to eliminate radio noise and interference from the vehicle and those nearby
and would likely have capacitors ,diodes etc a removal of the lid and images would help the next person later on

List of suppressors on a 24v V8 and where fitted on a 101 would think likely same as Defender...all 24v I believe were FFR so would have them...
