Looking at a 300tdi

I'm off tomorrow to look at a 97 300tdi, 69k miles, loads of service history.

Anything I should be checking whilst I'm there?

make sure the cam belt has been changed. should have been done 9000 miles ago. minimum.

i've checked, the cam belt was done at 36,000 so it's due another. I think I've found the "prestigious 1 lady owner" vehicle. Lots of receipts for oil, air and fuel filter changes, one for a cambelt, plus lots for day to day things.

i reckon youve got 7000 miles to go yet before a cambelt change then.
say approx 6 to 9 months time?
