Ok so after some user opinions...
Getting this Land Rover finished off. Just noticed my shocks are knackered and the springs have seen better days. Its time for replacements. I'm pretty sure they are just the Supergaz (Britpart) jobbies (on when bought). And to be fair they have lasted.
I run a 2 inch lift...not for looks...not for extra clearance etc etc...simply to squeeze in the 35x12.5x15's on 12 inch wide weller types rims.
I run these tyres simply because they are an excellent compromise for soft boggy fields and yet they make the Land Rover (hi cap) very comfortable when empty. Its actually very nice to run around in with these tyres.
But my dilemma is that I am relocating soon and face a couple of 250 mile round trips, a few days a week on the road, coupled with the usual heavy off road use on the job. So I want the road handling to be 'tight.'
Ive been looking at these Terrafirma Big Bore Shocks but just wondering how they are lasting for other users? Finsh is important to me too...I hate stuff that seems to corrode away.
I also keep hearing the Old Man Emu +2 mentioned but don't know if people think they are genuinely worth the extra?
I will be coupling with HD +2 springs. Don't know which. Maybe try the Bearmach Blues? But TBH would have no issue going the Britpart route again for the springs as they have endured as good as any...were on the landy 8 years before I bought it.
I'd be interested in user reviews???
