Lock without alarm on Freelander 1

Is there a way of locking and immobilising my Freelander 1 (1999/V) without activating the alarm?

I am going on a longish ferry crossing in August and the ferry company ask that while onboard vehicles are locked but alarms are turned off, presumably to stop them going off if it's a bit rough!

I would look in the owners manual but I took it out of the car sometime ago and have now mislaid it

I think that you can lock it with your key in the door (how dark aged!) and that will do the locks/immobiliser without the interior space sensor, I'm not sure if it will turn off the tilt alarm though.

there is a key code which you use to turn off the alarm and lock using the key, alarm resets when you use the fob, it is on a crdit card size piece of card in your handbook wallet.

You could disconnect the horn whilst on the ferry.

When we leave the dog in the car we lock the car using the drivers door lock, that way the internal ultrasonic alarm is not activated.
Did the same last time we were on the ferry and the alarm did not trigger.

How do I use the key code which turns off the alarm and lock using the key?

I am also going on a long ferry trip soon.

Volumetric movement sensing will activate when using the remote on a 5 door. It will only activate on 3 door if the roof is fitted correctly. Theres a switch which senses the roof is fitted correctly. If this switch reports the roof is open or the switch is faulty, then the remote wont activate volumetrics.

On a 5 door the volumetrics sensor is mounted behind the sunroof, behind the roof material. Cant remember where is it on a 3 door. Volumetric sensor is powered from the car battery under the bonnet.

When removing the key from the ignition it should immobilise it.

if u turn the key once it will lock the car without putting on the interior sensors , ie if u have dogs inside , it won't set off the alarm

from a fully unlocked position , if u turn the key twice in quick succession it will super lock or dead lock the car and will set the inside sensors and the red flashing light on ur dashboard and is the same as using ur key fob to make the immobilser to fully armed

alarm system is a thatcham class 2 and are able to get it upgraded to class 1

it uses a microwave system so if u have a window open and use the keyfob the alarm it won't go off unless someone puts their arm inside the car and breaks the microwave and alarm goes off

same if u had a 3 door and the hard top was off , uses microwaves
