Lock/unlock doors from inside?

Hello All,
I am swapping out my doors on my ‘91 D90 for half doors whilst running a soft top and I sourced three door locks with a matching key. But I don’t understand how I could lock or unlock them from inside the cabin. Seems kind of dangerous. Any tips greatly appreciated !

What you have there is a set of series door handle units and Yes they can not be locked from the inside, at least the drivers could not. On the passenger side where that hole is near the handle there would have been push in pin like the series 2 window stop.
They are not suitable for a Defender 90 which has "anti burst locks".
You need handles for early Ninety/One Ten models 83-87 models.
