Like a fan belt noise ??

HI new on here but been told very helpful.
just brought a 52 plate td5 ,after having it a day it started making a noise as if the belt was worn squilling very lound on low revs ,tried a drop off wd to see if stops but no different ,noticed it was coming from the pully on the aircon pump ,if i switch the auto heating console off it stops ,
it sounds like the bearing on the pully,can these be greased or new bearing be brought as local dealer says no and new unit need at nearly£600

you will be able to, but wehre you would get the bearings and seals from i don't know. try and find out how much for a recon pump, might be a bit cheaper.

What about a pump from a breakers yard?

Have same problem myself, have just sourced a used air con compressor from ebay for around £70.

Much better than full price eh!!

Unfortunately will be uanble to fit it myself as the system needs draining then filling afterwards which is a specialist job
