Hi all and thanks.
think I upset just one too many back a while, maybe I was lost without trace.
I did still show up on International rescue for some time still after. but cant really offer much help now except advice, cant do much towing with a hippo, and age now takes its toll..
But have been under my hippo today at the start of giving it a service.
Not driven it really yet, but, me being me wants to know what makes it tick (or rattle)
Originally thought I would cut an access hole to get to the sump plug but its so easy to take of the under tray with one of my rattle guns, so, can see more / plus jet washed the under tray both sides.
Ohh the diesel oil was black / needed changing, tomorrow its find and change the oil filter / LOL..
After that its find the crankcase filter housing / see if its a vortex one or the older styled one with a filter (that I bought)..
Needs 2 front tyres soon, I should stop looking, but I`m a retired "Injineer"
so, Inquisitive / nosey..
New car (to me) new things to find out..
Wonder what it drives like...lol
So, now tired, packed tools away, feet wet still after jet washing the undershield while wearing crocs - nice - lol
Some food first then shower, (got to redress my left legs "ulcers" - Its an old peoples thing)..
But new day tomorrow If My God grants me more time to lay on concrete, hurting like, well you know, but too old / stubborn / stupid to stop...

I just downscaled my addiction from an old shiny black 3 door to a smaller black shiny hippo..

He got band from here after a few suspensions upset a few people along the way lol if you search for ovens you

Sorry for the late replies, had "family Issues" and HIPPO Issues
Doing a good service and the nice BMW diesel has a stupid PLASTIC oil filter (cover)
that requires a 36 MM low profile socket to undo/
Ordered a set of most used sizes but yet to arrive, so hippo, now named PANDORA`s BOX
as the more I undo the more I find "wrong" ??
so she sits, on ramps, NO engine oil in it yet, but the old oil filter still in it.
I even tried my oilfilter chain wrench around the plastic hexagon with my 3 foot cracker bar on it and - nothing / scared to pull too hard..
So, yesterday I went on a treasure hunt in one of my sheds, found a big box of Disco stuff, the big wheel bearing box spanner that was too big, but all my home made tools for cam belt change, and even oil pressure switch change, but, smiled but put them back "safe" again, but dragged out 5 toolboxes of older / bigger tools that i will look into just in case theirs a 36MM socket -
but not today as = A - its raining
& B - I hurt like hell today - lol
Oh - C I can now walk in my shed again,
OK D - i got lots of stuff (crap) I dont want so need to go In my trailor to the tip..
revert back to minus A
My hippo is parked Immobile In front of my trailor....
Good job I still have my trusty not rusty MONDEO estate auto with tow bar - lol
you can tell I not doing much today as my posts are getting long again..
