hi, there

on my range rover p38 i connected my ifor Williams trailer to it and i have noticed that i do not have any brake lights and no lights on the hight adjustment on the car would anyone know what this could be ?

i would try the trailer on a different car before you go messing with the p38, if all is ok on the trailer then youre gonna need to get it looked at!

i dont know if the car will stop the eas moving if it detects a trailer on the back!

well its dodgy wiring then, clean all connections on the car or at least around the socket for trailer. obviously check trailer first!!!

put a jump lead from car to trailer, get a good connection on both chassis' and see if that helps!!!

There are 2 circuits for the trailer lights on the P38, left and right. Make sure some dipstick has not wired both sides of the trailer lights to the same feed as the BECM does not like the overload on one circuit.

Suspension height will change with a caravan on tow unless you do as recomended in the handbook and use the EAS lock button on the dash to maintain standard height

Data, do you mean that the left side of a trailer should be worked to the left? Or just that both running lights shouldn't be off one power feed on the same loom?

Mine went yesterday whilst driving, all the lights on the trailer were dim, my right rear indicator on the car was lit, then I unplugged it all, cleaned and put back together. Car light was then fine, but nothing on trailer anymore. It's definitely the car as I've tested the lights.
