Very Nice,
I just hope mine will fit in there with just as good a look..

Thanks for sharing..

There pretty pointless as ligbts tho tbh but spose make me make more visible i might swap the bulbs for nightbreakers to give a boost, when you remove the screws there a rubbish plastic insert in bumper mine fell out but i used 8mm wall plugs or 10mm cant remember now.
Id previously had 4" round spots (they ended up in the back of a zafira lol) but really they were 2 big to be just right and the depth can be an issue with the stone grill without some mods..

How much was the bar by the way with post etc? Id be interested maybe ses88 would fancy making a batch maybe even improve the desivn for the freebie..?

we went through the design ideas Simon and myself, none starter as only 2 out of 40+ votes wanted one..and the costs were much higher than anyone wanted to pay,,the one I have cost $61 Australian including shipping, then lights..
Not too bad I suppose,,I have also got the little secondary light switch thingy coming as well..

should be a nice little set up once sorted out..

The thing with these little bars is they're generic and fit lots of different models, and so they're made dirt cheap by a factory in china or somewhere with equally small overheads. I can't compete with that, especially on very small batches (by comparison)

Update,,

I have fitted all the lights and the bar, but no wiring done as I don't trust myself..never done any wiring before..

The lower ones need to have the securing screws changed for Nut & Bolt fixings when I have more time, as they are a little looser
than I would like, the wiring will get done when I can get Big Bruv to have a look for me, I have several projects that need wiring in
so he will do them all at the same time..

Happy with it up to now,,and more importantly the wife is happy...Phew!!!

Hmm im 50 50 about it tbh im not a fan of spots sticking out the front on the freebie but this is better i think than the higher option
I might buy a spare grill at some point and have a play to see if i can incorporate some into that at some point..

If you lay on the floor at the front and look just above the mesh, you
will see 3x plastic fixings for the mesh itself, I have taken out the plastic
screw and put in a thicker metal screw for now,
Ideally I would like to nut and bolt it,
but I cant get my hand in high enough yet,

I think I will need to undo more of the lower fixings

on the above picture the RED dots are the points I used for the light fixings,
the BLUE dots are what I think I will need to undo to allow access to the
top of the mesh from inside the bumper.
I hope that the bumper is flexible enough to get my arm up in there to put
a Nut & Bolt on each one..

Theres no need undo all those screws. Theres 3 screws holds the painted part to the bumper has o e ateach side and one in the middle the 2 at each side are conveniently placed to fit spots 2 they screw into the metel crash pad/bumper mine are held in with simple screws and plugs but you could always get some para type bolts mi e have been on a while now and not budged loose..
My previous spots were bigger and had a bollow bolt type fit so i had to make 2 small pieces of metal that screwed up and drilled to take the bolt on the spots its fiddly but not that hard..

Let me get this right Mr Cheese, if I undo the three Orange circles,
the painted part can be pulled away from the bumper separately??

If so that's fantastic, I can paint the mesh as well while I am there..

Me too,
so will have to wait for clarity from others that have taken these off..

or had the bumper off and can see..

I took it of in the summer when I fitted my bumper fogs, the bumper is just one part and not flexible enough to get to the top of the 3 holes to fit nut & bolt unless you have "rubber arms".
you can take the hole bumper of easily (15 minute job) the hardest bolt is the one you get to trough the indicator light cover in the wheel arch, it's a size 10.

while it was off I straightened and painted the lower metal grill and cleaned the A/C radiator of all the dead bugs

Thank you very much, I will probably take the bumper off in the summer,
if we get one this year, but for now I am happy with them as they are..

Great information though thank you..

No its attached but the screw help attach the whole bumper to the truck and they screw into what i think is the crash pannel (i forget correct name) but its more than good enought to fix to, to eitber screw them up or attach a mount for the bolt type its fiddly yes but doable and less fiddly than takjng the bumper off, if using a bolt style spot you need to bolt it to the plate uve made first then use an angled driver to screw the mount up..
You might need to pop tbe grill out then put it back, also mine has the early radiator grill thats removable which helped..
