Do you have any idea of a price range ball park for the Pod??

Would you sell the pod by itself or with lights??

Looks like a cracking little earner though..

At the moment I haven't even got the design up to the point of being able to engineer it (still essentially at the styling stage) so I can't give an exact figure. But I'm aiming for under £200 for the basic kit with LED bulbs included. More for a "ready to fit" one. Same for the roof pod.

Making the tools for vac forming will be a very involved process, but the advantage of using LED bulbs is that they don't generate much if any heat - so thermoplastics can be used in the manfacturing which will be far more affordable than GRP. Specifically high impact ABS. Much easier to work with too.

The reason you see £700 rally pods for Impreza's is that they must be hand laminated in GRP because they require old school lamps - which get very very hot!!!

But yeh DD has outlined what we're thinking of developing. I don't know if there will be muchy demand, but I want one, he wants one, and if we can sell a few extra then that's even better.

The snorkel will be interesting, I reckon I can engineer it as a composite vac form kit. If that can be done then it will be FAR cheaper than the currently available 750 euro jobbie.

i could think of a few mods i would like for mine!

snorkel
sump guard
exhaust guard
fuel tank gaurd
full roof rack in black
bonnet pod
rock sliders
new wheels and tyres

ohhh and a shot gun so i can rob a bank to pay for it all

also like to meet up sometime with you and dd as we dont live that far away!

Yep you've covered most of what we've been talking about. yeh it would be good to meet up and go down a lane or something .

I need new tyres first, I'm still running mondo mode!
