Evening all,
Have managed to get a brand new set of
front and rear set of lamp gaurds an want to fit them this week, I have all fittings and instructions bit my question is, is there any way that I can fit the clips to the body as opposed to drilling. I have all the templates but am a bit worried about drilling into body plus I do not posses a rivnut gun. Could I use araldite or the like to fit clips to the body and would they be strong enough, any ideas would be great fully received.

I think MartynV8 used adhesive a while back, not sure how it panned out long term, would be interested to know myself

Would probably be ok as they are not particularly heavy, but if they get knocked I'm not sure how they would do. Another option would be double sided tape like used on number plates etc. Surprisingly strong stuff

Yes, I did mine with adhesive tape nearly a year ago now & still holding strong. The brackets on mine had a thin metal strip spot welding the 2 individual brackets together to give a better surface area to bond. See my profile page for pics.

There was some tape I came across a few years ago
Think it was called mammoth or rhino or something like that, but it was evil ! We used it to stick kick plates to doors and once it was on it was a nightmare to get off we bent a 2mm thick stainless steel plate in half trying to get it off after we fitted it too low

this may or may not be of any use to you but i had them on mine when i bought it, i know they are very expensive but so are your lights, parked in a supermarket car park, something (i dont know what ) hit & broke my rear left light guard which in turn smashed a hole in my rear light, DOUBLE TROUBLE, it happened again somewhere else (just remembered where, i was at a football match the ball left the pitch at a rate of speed and hit the guard which cracked the headlight i dont think just the ball alone wouldve done that to the light) to the front drivers side but it only cracked the head light, DOUBLE TROUBLE, so two broken lights front & back, & two broken guards, VERY EXPENSIVE, lights have been replaced , and the guards have been removed, holes filled but not painted yet, ps after some time your wings will go to war with the steel riv/nuts, i think they oxidise or something ? but anyway they will corrode and bubble your paint, sorry for the doom & gloom, bobby, pps a sealant my mate uses to stick fiberglass camper body sections together and comes in a silicone sealant type tube is called stickaflex and sealaflex once dry it dont come a part ,can be bought from good caravan centre
