i have just bought a 90 and im really wanting to raise it and put some off road tyres on but havent a clue where to start my questions are what size tyres shall i go for? i already have some 16" modulars so just want to tyre them up, and secondly i have seen the 2" lift kit at paddockks but will i need some longer brake hoses/pipes??
any info would be mint im using it for light off roading nothing to harsh if it matters??

no one ever asked about lifting... or... tyre sizes, ever!!

surely nothing will be found if the search function is used

Without resorting to shouting DO A SEARCH .

Think about what you want to achieve. Are you after a vehicle that will go green laning or a pay and play site and still be usable on the road? If so a standard 90 with decent tyres is a very capable machine. Or are you trying to build a challenge truck? If so mod' away  You will find enough information on here to do everything in between depending on the depth of your pockets.

If you've only just bought your Landy I would suggest before you do anything else you give it a full service and fix all the things that will inevitably be wrong with it, then think about what you need to do to achieve the level of off road ability you want. And remember just about every mod' aimed at making it better off road will compromise on road performance.

Thanks for the help, yeah ive searched on the search box and theres hundreds of posts but like always everyone has there 2ps worth to say and theres posts saying 33" tyres some saying 235/70/16s are the biggest you can use and people saying it depends on the offset? (wtf) just thought someone helpfull whos clued up might give me a bit of advice???

the thing is, if we were to discuss it all again, you'd get exactly the same.

everyone adding their 2ps worth..

Lift it by 2" and fit 33's tyres

You only lift to fit big rubber !!!

What size tyres do you want ?? You can fit 265,75,16 without a lift

People seem to be using bigger tyres all the time I have 33" soon to be 37"

I've got 16" steel modulars with Insa Turbo Dakar Tyres and no lift and I don't get stuck. Even went to my shoot this weekend in 6" of fresh snow on a rutted farm track. No bother!
I have a set of A/T tyres on L/R Boost alloys gathering dust as well so I think I will eBay them soon as I don't need them.
Lifting your 90 will change the look but is unlikely to make it any more capable.

I disagree slightly.

It will make a difference with bigger tyres when your wheel gets pushed up into the arch. I have 285/75/16's and when this happens to me the tyre grabs the inside of the arch.

I either carry on and rub the arch quite alot or you back up and try a different way through.

With a lift you would have more room in the arch to absorb the wheel.

:5biagree: im running 33/12.50R15 without my +2" lift my tyres wud rub on the inner arch over most obsticles.

Sorry JP.

But my 33's are really nice though, they give a nice mean look to the 90 and great ground clearance offroad and with the MT pattern the grip like Sh1T to a Blanket.

You know what those special tracks would look good on aswell JP.

Mach5 rims. mmh. :D
