Lift Pump Problem

If I'm understanding this right you haven't stripped a block thread you've stripped the thread in the alloy cover that the pump bolts to?
You can remove that cover and replace it with a good s/h one or get it helicoiled.

If all else fails, I appreciate access is difficult but I'd try sawing the bolt head off (I assume it's only one bolt head that's rounded). Suggest using a single bladed holder or turn the blade 90 degrees. Once the pump is off you'll have more access and a longer bolt shaft to work on. It's unusual to have a pump bolt seized in its hole as it's pretty oily there. But if frozen, use plenty of WD40 or Plus Gas and leave overnight then, either saw a screwdriver slot in the bolt end or try a stud remover. Good luck.

Original Bolt is out now but threads inside stripped with new bolt. I know about the plate, probably the easiest option then re threading or helicoil. Anyone got a second hand plate???

Exactly what plate do you mean, I've got an entire block outside

Covered the bolt in this, put it so far in to the striped hole, left a few mil sticking out, left to dry for a couple of days then nipped the bolt flush, It seems to have done the job as it does not leak anymore, dry as a bone so far but will keep an eye on it until I get a replacement plate.
