Hi everyone,
still looking into the murky world of diesel lift pumps.
Attached are a couple of pics of mine, im trying to adjust the idle speed up by 200rpm or so.

Item 1 in the pic shows the idle backstop
Item 2 and 3 in the pic look like the bits I need to adjust to slide the plate and get a little more tickover speed.
However item 2 has some lines engraved into it so im a little aprehensive to tinker unless im told what it actally is and does.

anyone help at all?
p.s its a 300TDI engine

to adjust the idle speed all you need is to turn the plastic bit that is on the accelarator cable...
the plastic bit just next to the rubber piece where the cables slides through and connects to the injection pump arm

im learning fast - been used to a freelander TD4 engine in past which I never worked on....this one is a real treat for me :eek:
