Many people ask how and what to do to lift your defender but I want to lower my landy by 1"-2" but will it be worse than putting standard springs on it? I currently have a 2" lift and hate it, it is terrible on the road unless you drive at 30 everwhere. I have a v8 and want to make it a fast road going defender but still able to do green lanes but not interested in off-road. Also looking at anti-roll bar kits???
 
the rear anti roll bar cuts out most of the body roll,if you fit a front one aswell they tend to understeer more - that is how my 110 is set up and it works very well
 
90 front springs and disco rear springs (std) works well aslong as you are not putting to much in the back
standard height rear disco springs on the rear of a 90 will lift it 2",but standard height disco front springs on the front of a 90 will give standard height,theres a lot more weight in the back end of a disco
 
Just rolled my landy I need a new bulkhead roof and back door already have the sides it was a truck cab. And also need windscreen surround

if you mean lowering it by 2" from the standard landrover height then u should be publicly flogged..

at the end of the day its a landrover not a ferrari..

if you wish to lower it 2" from its current height then as has been suggested.
 
If you want it to handle better on the road then HD springs might be an idea although they also sit slightly higher than norm. Mine is blooming solid on the road compared with mates Landies. But it is bumpy off road I must admit. As above though, std height springs are fine and it will still be extremely capable off road.
 
I have my land rover as standard, suspension wise and haven't had any trouble yet. Have u got any pictures of the rolled landy as i to have a truck cab and would like to see if its a good idea to install a roll cage.
