TDV8....
....Next question
Thinking of one or two... have seen a facelift 55 plt 80k mls 2 owner TD6, looks lovely, history sounds spot on/ very reassuring seller/ decent warranty... seriously thinking about it but never bought car so old with such mileage before.. and now you're all saying disgard TD6 notions for TDV8.. torn
My td6 had 136k when I bought it, it's now got 150k miles
Still going strong
Although I want to upgrade soon to the TDV8
Yet another thread asking the same thing, worded differently. The answers you have already been given (and in the many other threads existing under the search function) won't change just because you move the words around.
Forget the TD6 and TDV8 and get a Toyota.
Toyota's aren't without their problems though. So far my uncle's 4.2 TD Amazon has eaten a gearbox, corroded most of its own electrics through poorly cited water drains. Only had it eight months at its only done 70k!
The Toyota we hav- had at work has got a nudge over 100k on the clock (2.2TD Avensis or something similar). It is being scrapped because the engine has shafted itself. It goes through 4 litres of water in 15 minutes.Toyota's aren't without their problems though.
