Why oh why are there so many of the same thing?

I'm assuming most of the ones on eBay sold in china and in the UK that are the same design would still all be made in china?

What do other people use? What's the best to go for?

Are they any good? For £20 I'm not expecting much but would like at least £20 worth of use out of them!

Looked at various bars and all sorts. Was a 20" bar for £160 which has now ended and looked pretty smart.

Couldn't find much in a search on here!

I do have a smaller version of these LED worklights and so far it seems OK.

I don't have it mounted on a light bar or anything like that, it's on a magnetic mount so it can be used almost anywhere there's a steel surface to put it on.

As a work light it's fine but I wouldn't like to say how these would perform as vehicle mounted spot lights.

I've got the previous lower powered version of the top one you posted and its bright as a worklight but doesn't have much distance throw

all the LED lamps i've delt with all suffer from water ingress (even expensive ones)
And they are all sealed units with no sign of how water can get in.

Im only adding to the thread and not telling anyone wot to do ,
They do look good on the right vehicle

hmm, looks like they arent any good then as spotlights, seems as though i may have to splurge on a posh light bar in the future! i think they look tons better than spots and much more discreet too!

I run 4x39W LEDS (in the above round style) as a front roof bar, 2x27W on the front bonnet, 2x48W square shape on the rear and 1x 72W batten on each side, all from ActiveLEDLightbars (imported from china). I cant rate them more highly and have been pressure washed many times, as well as covered in snow and run around at 100mph, and I have not had a single issue.

All LEDs are not created equal. The LEDs to look for are Cree, specifically the XML-T6 (XML-T5 are almost as good, XML-U2 better). The Cree XML-T6 powered with 7 watts is equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent and the first LED to have better efficiency than florescent tube. I'm in the process of fitting 8 led lights to my bar, 4x10watt flood and 4x10watt spot. The lights are actually only 7watt (China LED products are always exaggerated), but should still give over 700 lumen each.

The best eBay seller I can find is pretty_guru, he gives 1yr warranty and tends to have the best buy-it-now prices, but I always snipe his auctions. If you want to learn about LEDs Google candlepowerforums.
