LED dash lights

hey guys i'm a newbie here i was wondering if anyone knows about the LED dashboard lights?

i own a 1992 defender 90 and the white casing that holds the bulbs in the instruments of the dash have broken off i was wondering if the LED bulbs need that white casing or just fit in the hole?

will let you know tomorrow as I have the same problem and new dash led lights arrive tomorrow

They do need the casing. I fitted them to mine recently and one is broken off. I set it in position and held in place with tape. This should be fine as they don't heat up like glass bulbs do. Mines has been fine and is just as bright as the others.
